NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - PART 3 : THE SANTA CRUZ REDWOODS.

The Santa Cruz Redwoods were such an unexpected surprise.
A perfect first stop when leaving on a camping trip from San Francisco. Also an easy drive so Nic could get a hang of towing the Airstream.
We stayed at the Santa Cruz Redwoods RV park and it is very Airstream friendly with easy accessible camp spots, full hook-ups, showers and even a little laundry barn.
We hung the Eno’s, roasted Marshmallows and hiked in the magical Redwood forest.
This natural wonder ticked all of our senses. The forest smells like Christmas candles and I cannot describe the feeling when you walk in the home of the tallest trees on earth.
At least once in your lifetime, you need to have that experience.
Now that we are back home and look back at our trip I know that this was the best way to start our adventure.
There are definitely other options for camping and I’d rather stay off the beaten path, surrounded by nature but it was definitely the most comfortable way to get used to the Airstream.
